Chinese Electronics Kits 1
In this build I assembled three different electronics kits from China, a small digital clock, a wristwatch and a memory game.
Thermal Pad SwapThis was a very involved tear-down of my beloved Toshiba NB-205 to replace the ancient thermal pads and add a few more years of service to the machine.
Camcorder Teardown
Ripping the guts out of this old (non-working) camcorder proved to be rather fruitful!
MMDVM Hat
This wasn't much of a build but I did have to heat up the iron for it so it might as well get a log entry. If you'd like to read about the provisioning of the hotspot with Pi-Star, you can read that here.

Another QRP radio kit build. And another radio I'm not permitted to transmit on due to it's frequency range. This was also an eBay purchase but cost a little more at about $15.00 I had a lot of fun putting it together though and there is always the possibility of swapping to crystals out to bring it into a band I can operate on.
Super Pixie QRP
This is a little QRP (Low Power) radio kit. Purchased from eBay for about $5.00 and assembled in an afernoon. Only operates on Extra portion of the 40M band but it was a lot of fun to build and great soldering practice!
RC2014 Classic ][Z80-based system assembled as a learning platform for classic computing, serial communications, and retro software environments.
DMR Hotspot
Raspberry Piābased digital voice hotspot used for local and regional DMR access. Built to supplement limited RF coverage in my area.
Antenna Experiments
Ongoing antenna testing and tuning experiments including wire antennas, portable setups, and small-footprint solutions.
